1.What Reelkaar is

Reelkaar is an online marketplace that helps people and businesses (“hirers”) discover and talk to video professionals such as reel shooters, videographers and video editors (“Reelkaars”).

We only make introductions and provide tools to communicate. Reelkaar does not take bookings, process payments, hold money, sign contracts or deliver any video work. Any agreement about a shoot or an edit is made directly between the hirer and the Reelkaar, and Reelkaar is not a party to it.

2.Your account

You need an account to post requirements, send proposals or message other users. You can sign in with an email code or with Google. One account can be used both to hire and to offer services.

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
  • Give accurate information about yourself and keep it up to date.
  • Keep access to your email and Google account secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Don't create accounts for someone else without their permission, or create accounts to get around a suspension.

3.Profiles, requirements and proposals

Reelkaars can publish a public profile with their services, prices, packages, service area, availability and work samples. Hirers can post requirements, which are shown to Reelkaars who match the service, place and time.

  • A proposal, quote or chat reply is a message, not a confirmed booking or a binding offer.
  • Prices, packages and availability are set by each Reelkaar. Reelkaar doesn't set or guarantee them.
  • A “verified” badge on a profile does not mean Reelkaar has checked that person's identity, skills, equipment or background. Do your own checks before you hire or agree to work with someone.
  • Service areas shown on profiles are approximate. We never show a Reelkaar's home address.

4.Sharing contact details and dealing outside Reelkaar

You may choose to share your phone number, email, social media handle or other contact details with another user in chat. Doing so is entirely your choice and at your own risk.

  • Only share details with people you are comfortable contacting you directly.
  • Reelkaar is not responsible for conversations, calls, payments, advances, agreements, deliveries or disputes that happen outside the platform, or for how another user uses details you share with them.
  • Agree on the scope, price, dates and payment terms in writing before any work or payment starts.
  • Be careful with requests for advance payments or personal and financial information.

We may limit or switch off contact sharing in the future to protect users, and may then hide contact details in messages.

5.Your content

You keep ownership of what you post on Reelkaar: profile details, photos, videos, requirements, proposals, reviews and messages (“your content”).

You give Reelkaar a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize, compress, display and share your content as needed to run and promote the service. For example, we can show your public profile and work samples in search results and on Reelkaar pages. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law or that other users already received in messages.

Only post content you own or have permission to use, including permission from people who appear in your photos and videos.

6.What you must not do

  • Post anything false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent your skills, work samples or reviews.
  • Harass, threaten, spam or scam other users, or ask them for money under false pretences.
  • Post someone else's personal information without their consent.
  • Scrape, copy or collect data from Reelkaar, or interfere with how the service works or is secured.
  • Use Reelkaar for anything illegal in India.

7.Reviews

Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience. Don't post reviews for yourself, or for a competitor, or in exchange for payment. We may remove reviews that break these terms.

8.Fees

Creating an account, listing your services, posting requirements, sending proposals and messaging are currently free, and Reelkaar takes no commission on your work. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you before they apply and you can choose whether to use them.

9.Disclaimers and limits on our liability

Reelkaar is provided “as is” and “as available”. We try to keep it running smoothly and safely, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every user or listing is genuine.

Because Reelkaar is not a party to agreements between users, we are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality or delivery of any work, for payments between users, or for anything users say or do. To the extent allowed by law, Reelkaar is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

10.Removing content and suspending accounts

We may remove content, limit features or suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms, puts other users at risk, or is required by law. You can stop using Reelkaar at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to support@reelkaar.com.

11.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Reelkaar grows. We will change the “last updated” date above and, for important changes, tell you on the site or by email. If you keep using Reelkaar after a change, the updated terms apply.

12.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.

13.Complaints and contact

To report a user, content or a problem, or to raise a complaint, write to support@reelkaar.com. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days. See also our Privacy Policy.
